RESUSCITATION

Resuscitation of children & adults: multimedia training videos

Resuscitation skills are essential, and these skills need refreshing on a regular basis. This can be difficult to achieve for health workers and members of the public.

GOALS

  • To develop practical, engaging multimedia training for health care professionals.
  • To work with leaders in resuscitation of children and adults to achieve this.
  • Over time to develop training videos for members of the public particularly for the resuscitation of children who continues to have very poor outcomes if they arrest in a community setting.
SOLUTIONS

We will develop a resource covering a range of resuscitation scenarios. We have developed videos on:

  • Immediate resuscitation of an infant in hospital
  • Immediate resuscitation of an adult in hospital

We are currently working on:

  • The choking child
  • Immediate resuscitation of a child

We are looking for support to extend this video collection to augment resuscitation training worldwide.

TARGETS

Our initial aim was to self-fund 3 videos, two have been completed and can be seen on our learning platform at learning.worldmedicaleducation.org

We are now looking for support to develop a suite of videos covering resuscitation of children and adults for both health care professionals and the general public.

How can you help?
